Tampa
Tampa, the "Cigar City," is Florida's third largest city. The City sponsors several professional spectator sports; the Tampa Bay Buccanneers (the 2003 Super Bowl Champions), the Tampa Bay Lightning (the 2004 Stanley Cup winners), the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the Tampa Bay Storm, and for spring training, the Yankees. Other spectator sports include sail and power boat racing, equestrian shows, and greyhound racing.
Venture through the Dark Continent at Busch Gardens. At this African adventure you will see one of the largest collections of free-roaming animals in the world. You will discover over 224 species of birds, including one of the largest collections of American flamingos.
Roam through Ybor Square. This Latin Quarter was built in 1886 as the Ybor Cigar factory; where you can still get a hand rolled cigar. Antiques, imports, art galleries, and gift shops are located throughout the Square. You may wish to satisfy your palate at one of the many restaurants providing authentic Spanish cuisine.
Discover the rich arts and culture of the city. The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is the largest performing arts center in the Southeastern United States. The three-theater complex, located on the banks of the Hillsborough River, provides an entire range of theatrical performances including concerts, ballets, and operas. Be sure not to miss the Tampa Museum of Art, the Henry B. Plant Museum, and the Tampa Bay History Center.
