Lighthouse Cove
Oak Hill
Oak Hill lies along the shores of the Indian River and its main industry is citrus and commericial fishing.
For centuries, the Indian River has provided a bountiful existence for those who settled along its banks. In the beginning the local Indians fished and hunted the river. Their presence is recorded by the archaic shell mounds and prehistoric human remains that have been unearthed during present day development.
Today, the river banks produce some of the finest oranges and grapefruit grown in the world due to its climate, soil and root stock from the sour oranges that the Spanish colonist planted years ago.
